About Us

Matt Curran
Executive Director, Business Planning, Communications, and Trademarks

Matt Curran was promoted to the role of Executive Director, Business Planning, Communication, and Trademarks in 2022. In this role, he works closely with the Senior Vice President for Administration to develop business strategies, divisional communications and presentations, and engage in special project work.

Matt has been with USC since 2009, first serving as the Director of Trademark Licensing and Social Responsibility, and later as the Director of Trademarks and Contract Compliance, and also as Special Projects Manager for the Office of the Senior Vice President for Administration.

Prior to joining USC, Matt spent seven years with Equity Management Inc., where he managed trademark licensing programs for clients such as Cadillac, Chevrolet, and ACDelco. He has a Bachelor’s of Science in Finance from Linfield College, and an MBA from the University of Oregon.

Steve Fuller
Director, Trademarks and Licensing

Steve joined USC in early 2014 and manages Trademarks & Licensing Services daily operations, which includes identifying new licensing opportunities, negotiating license agreements and taking a lead role in trademark protection efforts. Prior to USC, Steve spent time on the licensee side of the business with DecalGirl, and also worked in marketing and game operations for the Utah Jazz, the Brooklyn Nets, and the University of Utah Athletic Department. A native of Utah, Steve has a B.S. In Marketing from the University of Utah and earned a Sports Business M.B.A. from San Diego State University.

Sharon Adamson
Trademark Licensing Specialist

Sharon has been with Trademarks & Licensing Services since 1989. She came to USC from West Point, NY, the final stop for her military family. Sharon coordinates the department’s administrative operations and serves as a primary liaison to licensees, university departments and student organizations. In addition, she manages the university’s licensed promotional products vendor program. Sharon has a BA in Sports & Business Administration from Rutgers University, where she played basketball for the Scarlet Knights on an athletic scholarship.
